still a paper doll girl....

my absolute love of magazines comes from my mom
and when i was little,
the magazine of hers that i loved, loved, loved
was mccalls
...only because of the betsy mccall doll in the back
of most of the issues
( and let me say, it was a sad month when there wasn't a doll to be found!)

anyway.....i was thrilled when mer mag
featured printable betsy mccall pages that can be found here

my daughter is now too old for paper dolls
(and i am sad to say,
she never really loved them the way i did, anyway)

but.......i may just print some for myself :)

i get a wee bit teary eyed seeing these ...
when i was little, my neighbours were a large family with many girls and being an only girl, i was so drawn to being with them and kinda getting 'lost' in the mix.
we spent hours and days making our own cut out dolls and clothes ...
thanks for bringing back warm, wonderful memories ~

ooo how cute!
mum used to draw girls and cute clothes and cut them out for my sister and I to play with.I have very fond memories of that. We got to colour in the clothes which made it more fun!
I made my own paper dolls up until I was 17!!!
wow...

must admit I love paper dolls also. Miss Mary Englebreit's magazine where she had a new paper doll each issue, sadly no longer being published. wonderful post!

My sister and I used to LOVE paper dolls! We even traced our paper dolls to make our own clothes for them. Because dressing and re-dressing your doll is the best part of having one ;)
