Husband and two college kids have otterboxes - the tank versions - and they've protected well. I have the tank version and quit using it because I put my phone into one of my handmade leather sleeves (it's still in one of the cutsie cases, too).

One thing I've considered lately is trying the commuter. It's good protection but not as grippy as the heavier one. That grippiness gets on my nerves - but it does work!

Just my .02 Good luck.

Awww - cute is so much more fun than functional!

i got that exact same case (the lifeproof pictured) after cracking my screen.

not a big fan. it's cumbersome and i don't like the way the screen feels...you have to type harder (if that makes sense) than normal. i've heard that it will eventually "suction" to the screen more and it's that becomes less of an issue.

i didn't return the lifeproof - decided it would come in handy at the pool/lake (it's waterproof), on trial runs (shatter proof), etc.

it's definitely not as heavy an bulky as an otterbox. got mine from the AT&T store at 1/2 price because i spent so much on the new phone.

good luck!

I love my case! It features Big Ben since I'm a big Anglophile, but at $30 each they're worth it if you're big on expressing yourself. They are /were sold at Best Buy and the other one I saw had the Eiffel Tower on it.
