fobots...

this weekend, we went to the annual art festival, artisphere,
in our revitalized and beautiful downtown....
fabulousness was in full bloom!!
so much to see, but one my absolute favorites was
the fobots made by artist amy flynn....

She scours flea markets, basements, internet auctions, and scrapyards for cool old junk. Amy then solders and bolts the pieces together to create sturdy, one-of-a-kind sculptures, never to be duplicated..............Not all Fobots open up, but if they do--they get a heart inside!

i totally loved her fobot necklaces....
little fobots made with tiny tins
and they all opened up with a little heart inside......
.....perfect

a special collection...

a lovely gal who lives here in greenville
wanted to give a special blue moss piece to a friend
who was moving back to belgium
after living here for 2 years.
we decided on a necklace that included
a vintage south carolina charm.....
.....and a little bit of green here and there.
while we were at it......
we decided on a bracelet for each of her daughters
that also had a south carolina charm
...and green bead .....
....or ribbon....
...or rhinestone....
.
love how they turned out....
