i love to read and about her and scott's adventures in nyc....

a little treat...within the treat....

i received the best birthday treats....
a lovely package from cindy...
i loved everything little thing in the parcel
and i was wild about the card that came with it...
the top photo was taken by cindy
(who is just the best photographer)
...she then turned that photo into a postcard/birthday card

that captures the memory of my lovely gift.....
i think i will have to frame it...
and smile at it everytime i see it.

perfect day....

that's how i would have to describe our sunday in new york.....

....my scott and i met up with cindy and her scott

they were nice enough to share with us some of their favorite places....

the high line.....love the view and the walk

chelsea market....

where cindy directed us to these fun treats to bring home

....and to a totally fabulous anthropologie

where i picked up the american (cheaper) version of selvedge

...i totally did not know that they were making an american version

....big thanks to cindy for pointing it out

i read it cover to cover on the plane trip home

we had a great lunch and then headed over t0 willamsburg, brooklyn

....loved all the shops that we went in....

a great shoe shop....(of course :)

ugly luggage (where i found some great little bits for jewelry.....

.....you may remember this little treasure that cindy found there...

...so happy she shared that store with me

catbird....that had the most fun jewelry

sweet william....loved the dolls....

....and built by wendy....that was sadly closed for labor day weekend

( i was the gal with her nose pressed up against the window)

and other fun places.......but above all that....

....it was so great just to spend time with them.....

cindy's blog is a must-read for me....

and she's always so nice,

....and i must say that she (and scott) are even nicer in person....

and i just have to thank them for sharing their new york with us

forgive me for going on and on....

.....usually not my thing....

but it was... the perfect day :)
