those blue gladiator sandals totally remind me of our school sandals we had to wear for primary/elementary school down in NZ. every kid had them! you could get them in brown or blue.

that would be fun for school shoes..but not as fun when you have to wear them....i think that's why its taken me awhile to warm up to blue and white. i watiressed all thru high school and college at a place where we had to wear navy pants and white polos....took me awhile to get past that :)
i don't usually care for blue and white either (too nautical) but those little barettes tempt me to grow my hair!
